06/18/2007 GGB appoints two new India sales managersGGB Asia, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, has appointed two new territory sales managers for India, Jayapal Sathish and Mahesh Thangamani, who will cover the southern and western parts of the country respectively. Both report to Jasvinder Singh Bhatia, national sales manager. “India is a huge market, so it is important to be able to provide customer support at a regional level,” said Mathias Senghaas, GGB Asia sales manager. “With the addition of Jayapal and Mahesh to our team, we now have a much stronger presence in this vast country.” Jayapal Sathish will be responsible for developing the automotive, industrial and hydraulics markets from his office in Chennai. A graduate mechanical engineer, he brings to the position extensive experience in the Indian market, having worked as business development manager for Fluid Line Valves and as an application engineer for Ross Controls. Based in Pune, Mahesh Thangamani will focus on the same market segments. Prior to joining GGB, he was assistant sales manager for Shiram Pistons & Rings.
